When Andersens Flooring came to Total Uniform Solutions, they were looking for a solution that reflected their core brand values and provided an option for both ready-made and customised uniform items. The uniform range also needed to cater to a range of ages – from 16 to 60 years – and look great across different body shapes.
To save time and cost, the customised Andersens garments are held in our Brisbane-based distribution center, while the ready-made garments are embellished to order in our company owned embellishment facility.
During the design process, we identified the opportunity to introduce a check shirt into the range. However, it was challenging to find the right design, in colours that complimented the corporate colour palette. And with 60% of the Andersens consultants and mobile showroom staff located in Queensland, the uniform needed to suit a warmer climate.
“We recommended that the corporate shirt be custom manufactured using the environmentally-friendly Bamboo Backed Polyester fabric. This allowed us to design a bespoke check pattern and print the fabric to match the corporate colour palette. The result was an on-brand corporate shirt that was also cool and comfortable to wear” said Jarrod Coulin, from Total Uniform Solutions.
The needs of the flooring installers and carpet cleaners was also taken into account. Customising the polo shirts gave us a number of distinct advantages. Not only were we able to create a visually engaging and on-brand look to the polo shirts, but the fabric use was also highly relevant to the installers role and working conditions. The high performance, sweat-wicking fabric is breathable, durable and offers excellent UPF sun protection.
Andersens operates with both company-owned and franchise business model. Our online ordering portal has the unique advantage of being able to cater to this – providing the company with different purchasing rules for the various parts of the business, including individual login, order tracking and national distribution. The online ordering portal allows staff to login and manage their uniform allowance, process quick orders and track their orders from our warehouse to their store.
During the rollout of the new uniform, our team also added value by participating in Andersens annual franchise conference. Being able to engage with the staff directly and explain why the uniform was designed the way it was and how it should be worn was incredibly beneficial to all the stakeholders.
